As you may have noticed on the home page, yesterday at around 6:00 PM EDT, this site received its 50000th hit since it opened just over nine months ago. This is truly an amazing accomplishment for me. I never expected to get 5000 hits in less than a year, let alone 50000. I also never expected to see this site grow so quickly; from getting 125 hits a day to just over 300. Many thanks goes out to you for taking the time to visit my site. Whether this is your first, tenth or hundredth visit to the website, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to view my summaries and stats. Thanks a million. Or more fittingly, thanks a fifty thousand.
On a similar note, I will reach another milestone this coming Tuesday. Can you guess what it is?

Here's an update on Rod, curtosy of Claudia:
"Hello everyone. I talked to Rod yesteday and he is still in the hospital. He was scheduled to be in the hospital 3 to 4 days and now it is a whole week. What was supposed to be a one hour surgery turned into a 6 hour ordeal for him. He was supposed to have one tumor removed but instead they found 3. Rod was in tremendous pain because he had to have part of his colon removed but was feeling a little better yesterday. He is very optimistic and hopes to be back to work shortly. Even in the middle of all this he cant wait to get back to work and get behind that podium and do his thing! What a little fighter! "

From Claudia:
"Hello everyone. I just found out that Rod Roddy will be going back under the knife this Friday to remove even more cancer. Although he has been in nausiating chemotheraphy since he was operated on last September 11th the cancer has returned. He has to have it removed immediately and will miss two weeks of work if all goes as expected. This is the second time Rod had to take a leave of absence due to this cancer. The first time he had to have MAJOR SURGERY to remove a tumor the size of a large orange. This time the growth is smaller, but just as dangerous if it isnt dealt with immediately. I asked Rod if it was ok to let the board know about this and he said yes. Since his diagnosis last year... he has been very outspoken about this type of cancer encouraging people over 50 to get checked out and to not put off a simple test that could save your life. When Rod was operated on last year.. it was done just in the nick of time. Doctors beleived if they would have hesitated just a little bit longer, Rod's life would have deffinately been in jeopardy. Anyways... I just wanted ask those of you that care to include him in your prayers tonight... I know I will."
Get well soon Rod!
